Meridian Discovery is our year-round editorial programme, created to showcase independent artists and new music from around the world.
While The Meridian Awards recognise artistic excellence through an annual blind judging process, Meridian Discovery helps more artists be seen, heard, and discovered throughout the year.
Artists featured through Meridian Discovery may be showcased across Meridian platforms, including the website, social media channels, playlists, and editorial content.
A platform for emerging artists, new releases, and independent music worth discovering.
What a Discovery feature may include
A Meridian Discovery feature may include:
- An artist or band profile on the Meridian website
- Social media posts across Meridian channels
- Instagram and Facebook Story features
- A featured Spotify track
- Editorial copy introducing the artist and their music
- Inclusion in Meridian Discovery content and playlists, where appropriate
Meridian Discovery is not a competition, award, ranking, shortlist, or finalist stage. It is an editorial feature programme designed to celebrate and share new music throughout the year.
Who can apply?
To be eligible for Meridian Discovery, artists must also have submitted an application to the current edition of The Meridian Awards.
There is no additional fee to apply for Meridian Discovery.
Applying does not guarantee a feature, but every complete submission will be reviewed for potential inclusion in Meridian Discovery content.
